New Project

hello all

Chrisitan and I are getting going with a small project and hope to expand this to a larger cross national / cross cultural project with USA, UK, Gemany ( .. maybe SA, Russia?). The idea is individual values, personality, leadership role/style etc may play a part in atitudes to the value of CSR? This is building on the work of a Prof Basil in Canada (ref to follow).

So the next step is looking at cross national / cultural issues ..... any views and ideas and anyone keen to join the project?

Call for Papers - Journal of Business Ethics Spcial Issiue

Call for papers - MNCs in Emerging Markets

Paper deadline: December 30, 2007

The special issue of Journal of Business Ethics will focus on
business ethics and corporate social responsibility of multinational
corporations (MNCs) in emerging markets. Although both theoretical and
empirical papers are welcome, the emphasis will be placed on high quality
empirical papers that have some practical managerial or public policy
related orientation. We welcome papers grounded in various theoretical
perspectives and utilizing various research methodologies."

Completed papers should be sent to the Guest Editor before December 30,
2007. Send your submission as a single attachment file to an email to
Justin Tan, the Schulich School of Business, York University
(jtan@schulich.yorku.ca). There is no paper submission fee. Manuscript
(the attachment file) should be prepared in English, to ensure that:

1. In your email, please mark in “Subject” line “Journal of
Business Ethics Special Issue on MNC”.
2. The cover page should include (1) the full title, (2) full name
and postal address, including email and fax, of all authors, and (3) three
key words of your paper.
3. The second page should include the title and abstract only. The
text starts from the third page, including the title. No author
identification information should be included to facilitate anonymous
review process. Acknowledgements can be added after the paper is accepted
for publication.
4. When saving the file, any author identifying information has been
removed from the attachment.
5. The manuscript is doubled spaced, with all pages numbered, and
formatted correctly in the form of a Word file, using Word 2000 (or an
earlier version).
6. The length is limited to 30 double-spaced pages including text,
references, tables and figures.
7. The file prints out correctly (check especially to be sure
imported figures and tables print, as you want them to!).
